Wizz Air selects FSC as simulator partner
Amsterdam-Schiphol - Wizz Air has chosen Flight Simulation Company (FSC) from Amsterdam to become its partner for providing full flight simulator capacity. Wizz Air is continuously expanding its fleet and has herewith secured access to sufficient simulator capacity for the next ten years to train the crews needed to support its growth.
FSC will set up a training
operation in Budapest and install an Airbus A320 full flight
simulator as well as cabin mock-up facilities. Additionally, Wizz
Air will use FSC's training facilities in Amsterdam for simulator
capacity and type rating training.
"FSC is a highly experienced and professional partner offering the most comprehensive and competitive next-door simulator solution to support our growth" said John Stephenson, Executive Vice President of Wizz Air.
"We are proud to partner with one of the fastest growing airlines in Europe. Getting selected by Wizz Air means we were able to come up with the solutions Wizz Air was looking for" said Bob van Balen, Managing Director of FSC.
Wizz Air is the largest low-cost, low-fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe, offering flights on over 250 routes in Europe from more than 15 bases. Wizz Air has built up a young fleet with close to forty Airbus A320's and will expand further in 2013 and onwards.
